There is something so special about watching families grow through the years, and welcoming the McFarland family back into the studio for Charlotte’s newborn session was truly such an honor. Five years ago, I had the joy of photographing big sister Leilani as a newborn, and now getting to capture these sweet first moments for baby Charlotte made this session incredibly meaningful.

Leilani was the absolute sweetest big sister and such a big helper throughout the entire session. She was gentle, loving, and so proud of her new baby sister. Watching the bond between these two precious girls already forming was enough to melt my heart. Both girls absolutely rocked their session from beginning to end!

One of my favorite parts of this session was getting to include Grandma — “Honey” — in a few close-up portraits with the girls. These moments are always so priceless. Generational images hold such deep meaning, and I know these photographs will be treasured for years to come.

Mom chose the most beautiful color palette for Charlotte’s newborn session — soft yellow, lavender, light pink, and delicate florals. Everything came together so beautifully and created such a dreamy, timeless feel throughout the session. Every little setup felt soft, feminine, and full of sweetness, perfectly fitting for this precious baby girl.

This entire session was so much fun, and my heart was truly full the whole time. I’m also incredibly thankful that Kaylee was so kind and patient in waiting for me to return to the studio for Charlotte’s session. It means more than I can ever fully express when clients and friends trust me to capture these once-in-a-lifetime memories for their family. Being invited into these special seasons of life is something I never take for granted.
