It is always such a joy welcoming this sweet family into the studio at Specialty Photography. I have truly loved getting to know them over the years and watching their boys grow in front of my lens. There is something so special about returning families — familiar faces, new seasons, and memories that keep building year after year.

Zyir and Zavion did such a wonderful job during their session, as always. They are getting so comfortable in front of the camera, and it really shows in the natural smiles, genuine moments, and easy connection we were able to capture.

This session was the perfect blend of classic and playful. We started with formal Christmas portraits, giving the family those timeless holiday images that never go out of style. Then we shifted into something a little more relaxed and fun — matching Christmas pajamas! Those moments always bring out the laughter, movement, and personality that make family sessions so meaningful.

The set for this session was our beautiful Gold Christmas backdrop, and it could not have been more perfect. The warm tones, soft sparkle, and festive glow created such a beautiful foundation. The colors this family chose paired flawlessly with the set — everything came together in a way that felt both elegant and full of Christmas spirit.

What I loved most from this session was the interaction between them. The little glances, the laughter, the in-between moments — those are the pieces that tell the real story of a family. It’s never just about posing; it’s about preserving connection.

Such a beautiful session from start to finish, and I am already looking forward to having the Marshall family back in the studio again soon.
