Some families hold a special place in your heart, and the Owen family is certainly one of those for me.

One of the greatest joys of being a newborn photographer is having the privilege of watching families grow over the years. I have had the honor of photographing each of the Owen children as newborns, and every time they welcome a new little blessing into their family, I feel incredibly grateful that they choose me to help preserve these precious memories.

This time, we celebrated the arrival of beautiful baby Paighton.

She was absolutely precious during her session—peaceful, content, and so incredibly sweet. From the moment she settled into each pose, I knew this session was going to be something special.

Mom, Sindi, has always loved soft, feminine colors, so we designed Paighton's session with beautiful shades of pink, soft blue, and touches of lavender. Together they created the most dreamy color palette and gave the entire gallery a light, airy boho feel that perfectly complemented this sweet little girl.

One of my favorite parts of the session was incorporating something that held incredible meaning to their family.

Sindi lovingly crocheted a beautiful blanket especially for Paighton, and there was never a question that it would become part of her newborn portraits. These are the details I treasure most—the handmade keepsakes, family heirlooms, and meaningful pieces that tell a family's unique story.

Anyone can purchase a beautiful prop, but the items that truly matter are the ones filled with love and memories. Whether it's Grandma's quilt, Daddy's cowboy hat, a special teddy bear, or a blanket stitched by Mom herself, these treasured pieces transform portraits into family heirlooms that will be cherished for generations.

To me, that's what newborn photography is all about.

It's preserving this chapter exactly as it is today so that years from now, when Paighton is grown, she'll be able to look back and see not only how tiny she once was, but also the love that surrounded her from the very beginning.

As always, photographing the entire Owen family was such a joy. Watching Olivia and Ezra love on their new baby sister filled my heart. The gentle hugs, proud smiles, and quiet snuggles are the moments that tell the real story of welcoming a new sibling home.

These are the moments that become priceless.

To the Owen family, thank you for trusting me once again to capture another beautiful milestone in your lives. It has been such a blessing to watch your family grow through the years, and I never take that privilege for granted.
